About Kirstin Valdez Quade
In The New York Times' reckoning, Kirstin Valdez Quade’s Night at the Fiestas includes no fewer than three “legitimate masterpieces”—and it’s only her debut collection. A native of northern New Mexico, where much of her fiction is set, Kirstin Valdez Quade was named one of the National Book Foundation’s “5 under 35” and is a recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer’s Award. Her stories have appeared in the in The New Yorker, The Best American Short Stories, and other publications.
