The 2009 U.S. Poet Laureate gives the opening reading at the 2009 Vegas Valley Book Festival. Ryan's poetry collections include The Niagara River, Say Uncle, and Elephant Rocks. She has received fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation and was awarded the 2004 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize.

On weekdays, visitors may park after 7:00 p.m. in any staff, student, or metered space. Parking in spaces marked "reserved" is not permitted. An interactive map of all parking areas is available from UNLV Parking Services.
