BMI and UNLV's College of Liberal Arts offer up to four semester-long BMI-Liberal Arts Faculty Research Fellowships to tenured full or associate professors in the college. The fellowships enable faculty to complete or substantially advance a major research project and to be connected to BMI's work, its programs, and its residential Bennett Fellows. Faculty Fellows are given a one-course teaching load reduction for one semester, with the expectation that the remainder of their time will be committed to a research project and to working with BMI as part of its community of writers, both creative and scholarly.
