About the Event

Please join us for a poetry reading with Shearing Fellow Nabila Lovelace, who is in residence with BMI during the fall 2022 semester. The program will be introduced by Charlie Bartlett, fiction writer and MFA candidate from UNLV’s Creative Writing International Program.

Nabila Lovelace is a first-generation Queens born poet; her people hail from Trinidad & Nigeria. Sons of Achilles, her debut book of poems, is out now through YesYes Books. She is honored to be the Magic City Poetry Festival 2022 Eco-Poetry Fellow, as well as the Fall 2022 BMI Shearing Fellow. You can sometimes find Nabila kicking it in Tuscaloosa.

Directions: The Goldfield Room is on the 3rd Floor of UNLV’s Lied Library. Parking on campus is free and open to all after 7pm.

This program, which is free and open to all, is supported by UNLV Libraries and The Writer’s Block
