About the Event
Lawyer and scholar Stephen Bright, former leader of the Southern Center for Human Rights, will give a talk to students and the public about his book, which offers an in-depth critique of how the criminal legal system fails to live up to the values of equality and justice. Stephen Bright will be introduced and in conversation with Dayvid Figler, a longtime Las Vegas criminal defense lawyer and co-host of the City Cast Las Vegas podcast.
Parking/getting there: Daytime visitors to UNLV must use metered areas or display a valid permit to park their vehicles on campus. Green visitor/pay parking spaces are available in various lots throughout the campus, including several in Lot I which is the closest to our building. To find the Rogers Literature & Law Building, please turn onto East Harmon Ave and take it as far as you can into campus.
