Associate Director of Development | Black Mountain Institute

About Kim

Kim Treviño comes to us from Nevada Public Radio, where she spent the last six years as an Account Executive. She also served as the Distribution and Events Coordinator for the entire organization from 2021-2022. During this time, she planned and produced numerous high-profile events for the organization, which ranged from issue parties for Desert Companion magazine to major donor events dedicated to engagement.

Her commitment to relationship-building and connecting with others is at the heart of everything she does in her professional and personal life. She is an avid bibliophile who is always trying to finish all the books she starts, and she’s participated in three StorySlam events at the Charleston Heights Art Center over the last few years. Storytelling is one of her greatest passions, and she hopes to perform on the Moth Mainstage someday.

Kim received her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is originally from Uvalde, Texas.
