About the Event
Natasha Tarpley’s “Girl in the Mirror: Three Generations of Black Women in Motion” speaks to the intra-visibility of Black women and the urgency of being able to keep sight of a complex body moving through home, community, and sometimes hostile waters.
In this evening set around the themes of Erica Vital-Lazare’s Seeing/Seen, an exhibition at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, Tarpley and Vital-Lazare will discuss the lives of Black women—past, present, future.
