On May 20, we welcome author Carmen Maria Machado.

Carmen Maria Machado, whose debut short story collection, Her Body and Other Parties, was a finalist for the National Book Award and the winner of the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Fiction. Machado’s essays, fiction, and criticism have appeared in The New Yorker, the New York Times, The Believer, Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy, and Best American Nonrequired Reading. A 2019 Gugenheim Fellow, Machado is currently the Writer in Residence at the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Philadelphia with her wife.
